Do you anticipate risk and then develop plans to mitigate?  Do you have the ability to think out of the box and manage towards established goals?  Do you possess a strong sense of integrity and the ability to manage an office independently while maintaining high personal and professional standards?   If so we have an exciting opportunity for an experienced, dynamic individual to lead our compliance team. Located in Tampa, in this role you will be responsible for strategic initiatives, compliance training & oversight, internal investigations, corporate-wide compliance oversight, as well as ensuring the organization is fully complying with all applicable labor laws and regulations.

Responsibilities:

  • Development and implementation of a dynamic and consistent compliance program across all individual business units and partners
  • Investigating and responding to alleged violations of laws, regulations, contractual requirements and/or policies
  • Ensuring the appropriate policies and procedures are in place to support the compliance program.
  • Oversee an effective compliance training and education program
  • Operational oversite to ensure the organization exceeds client expectations/deliverables
  • Identifying potential areas of vulnerability and risk and working with other departments to develop and implement corrective actions plans
  • Acting as a resource to other departments by providing guidance on regulatory matters
  • Conduct annual compliance risk assessment and support business remediation as necessary. Risk assessment will include validation of standards, accountabilities, and outcomes
  • Oversee remediation and corrective action plans resulting from audits, investigations, compliance reviews, and self-identified issues
  • Interact with state/carrier legal departments

Requirements:

  • Excellent understanding of CMS (Centers for Medicare and Medicaid)
  • 10+ years of demonstrated experience leading a compliance team in the health insurance industry
  • Experience developing programs to maximize Medicare carrier STARS ratings required
  • Ability to interface with Senior Level Executives during client meetings/presentations
Minimum Education:
  • Bachelor's Degree required
  • JD degree preferred
