We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced, dynamic individual to lead our Compliance team.  This position will be in our Tampa, FL or Phoenix, AZ office.  This individual will develop and lead a team responsible for strategic initiatives, compliance training & oversight, internal investigations, corporate-wide compliance oversight, as well as ensuring HPOne is fully complying with all state labor laws and regulations.
 
Essential Job Functions / Responsibilities:
  • Development and implementation of a dynamic and consistent compliance program across all of HPOne’s individual business units and partners
  • Investigating and responding to alleged violations of laws, regulations, contractual requirements and/or policies
  • Ensuring the appropriate policies and procedures are in place to support the compliance program.
  • Ensure fully complying with all state labor laws
  • Oversee an affective compliance training and education program
  • Operational oversite to ensure HPOne exceeds client expectations / deliverables
  • Identifying potential areas of vulnerability and risk and working with other departments to develop and implement corrective actions plans
  • Acting as a resource to other departments by providing guidance on regulatory matters
  • Conduct annual compliance risk assessment and support business remediation as necessary.  Risk assessment will include validation of standards, accountabilities and outcomes
  • Oversee remediation and corrective action plans resulting from audits, investigations, compliance reviews, and self-identified issues
  • Interact with state / carrier legal departments
 
Minimum Experience:
  • Excellent understanding of CMS (Centers for Medicare and Medicaid)
  • 10+ years of demonstrated experience leading a compliance team in the health insurance industry.
  • Experience developing programs to maximize Medicare carrier STARS ratings required
  • Ability to interface with Senior Level Executives during client meetings / presentations
     
    Minimum Education:
  • Bachelor’s Degree required
  • JD degree preferred
