OPPORTUNITY
Due to our continued growth, we have a newly created position for a talented individual to lead our Training Department.  This position will be located in our Tampa, FL or Phoenix, AZ office.  The Director of Training will be tasked with leading our training department and working with our leadership team to develop a comprehensive program that can scale to 1000+ insurance agents across 5+ sales centers.  This is a multi-task oriented position requiring excellent leadership customer service and organizational skills, computer literacy, and attention to detail. In this important role you will play an active role in helping to maximize individual and team performance.

RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Develop and execute on a companywide strategy for training
  • Manage design, development and delivery of classroom, virtual and instructor-led programs
  • Determine and implement continuous improvement loop; measure impact of training program on day-to-day quality metrics
  • Supervises, develops, evaluates and coaches the training managers, and trainers who deliver training, as well as provides corrective and/or positive performance feedback as applicable. Documents performance of Agents in training and makes recommendations to advance, terminate or require additional training. Monitors and analyzes ongoing performance trends in order to make training and development recommendations. (Leads the team that) Acts as primary training support to Agents while class is in transition.
  • Develops training agendas and delivers client approved product training using a variety of delivery methods to keep classes fully engaged 
  • Works with various department leaders and subject matter experts as needed to develop, enhance or update training and development programs, including outlines, curriculum fact sheets, exams, and supporting documents.
  • Leads and/or participates in client calibration sessions to ensure alignment of training with client metrics
  • Maintains records of all training activities, including time sheets, evaluations and quality reviews
  • Regularly communicates with the management team to maintain product/service knowledge and ascertains additional training needs of Agents
  • Works with the Executive team to create strategy and administer leadership development across the business
  • Evaluate needs of company and plan training programs accordingly.
  • Plan the implementation and facilitation of activities and events, budget spending, material production and distribution, and other resources to ensure that operations are managed within authorized budgets.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
  • 10+ years of successful training experience and (leadership) of a training department, in a call center environment
  • Proven track record of developing a training program / curriculum in an call center environment for 1000+ agents across multiple sites
  • Medicare / Health Insurance experience – preferred
  • Skills, Knowledge & Abilities:
    • Knowledge of instructional design
    • Ability to educate, motivate and conduct interactive/lecture style instruction.
    • Must be analytical, organized and detail oriented and possess excellent oral, written communication and proofreading skills.
    • Demonstrated ability to manage resources and people.
  • High levels of resourcefulness, influence/organizational savvy, execution skills strategy through implementation as well as executive presence/impact are critical to the success of this individual. The Director of Talent Development and Training must promote strong team interaction across the breadth of the organization. He/She must be effective at sharing ideas and information with peers and business leaders. As such, the position requires strong relationship management skills.
