The reporting analyst is responsible for reviewing and maintaining reports, queries, and resolving identified exceptions. The reporting analyst participates in the development of new reports, custom reports and modifying existing reports for management. Effective communication skills are required since the position works closely with all levels of management. Flexibility, prioritization skills, and the ability to manage expectations are critical components of this position.

Responsibilities
 
  • Work with business leaders to articulate business requirements for reporting analytics
  • Perform reporting analysis to gauge outcomes of sales and member outreach projects
  • Participate in evaluating new technologies so as to ensure the advancement of technology architecture and data within organization business intelligence needs
  • Translate information requirements into proposed reports, consult with analytics team, and produce reports
  • Create automated reports and dashboard products, in order to display results to clients and internal project teams
  • Develop insights and deliver recommendations based on reporting analytics
  • Suggest and implement refinements to standard reports
  • Perform ad hoc analysis and deliver recommendations
 
Requirements
 
  • 1-4 years of quantitative analytical experience required
  • Bachelor’s degree required; major or significant coursework in at least one of the following strongly preferred: mathematics, business, analytical marketing, information systems, programming/databases, statistics/statistical modeling, finance, economics, or physics
  • Advanced Excel expertise required (Pivot tables, VLOOKUP, Report Filters, etc.)
  • Understanding of relational databases and data management as well as experience with data aggregation and normalization 
  • Experience using database languages such as SQL required
  • Experience with business intelligence tools (QlikView, Tableau) strongly preferred
  • Ability to approach tasks strategically, while owning and mastering the details
  • Exceptional problem solving, analytical and strategic thinking skills required
  • Strong listening skills to gather requirements and understand the technical barriers to project completion
  • Strong oral and written communication skills with ability to work well with people across the company and at all levels, both technical and non-technical
  • Experience in Healthcare a plus
