Human Resources Generalist (Part Time)
In this role, you will support human resources department initiatives and be responsible for the daily oversight of a wide spectrum of HR needs as you keep the HR department running smoothly. Serving as the company’s headquarters HR support, you will provide support, guidance, and resolution in employee relations matters, employee benefits, basic performance issues, affordable care act reporting, and policy matters. You will actively participate in the daily management of HR administration and you will provide onboarding and coaching for managers. Your responsibility is to support your colleagues and the mission of the organization. This is an outstanding opportunity for someone who is passionate about human resources, able to work independently and collaboratively, and able to prioritize a diverse workload.  This a part time position that could result in permanent placement.

Responsibilities as the Human Resources Generalist
  • Respond to employee and management requests and inquiries regarding benefits, company policies, and HRIS assistance.
  • Lead new employee orientation to include completing new hire paperwork, presenting on benefit programs, verifying I-9 documents presented, and other onboarding activities.
  • Conduct exit interviews and periodically report data to executives.
  • Serve as a liaison with HRIS and benefits administration vendors. Responsible for the maintenance of HRIS HR modules related to applicant tracking, benefit administration, performance management and compensation, document upload, and government compliance reporting.
  • Ensure data for new hires, terminations, benefit enrollments, and qualifying events is submitted and processed. Conduct census audits of benefit programs for accuracy and compliance.
  • Participate in and/or lead departmental projects designed to align HR programs with HPONE’s strategic business objectives.
  • Assist with compliance of benefit programs under ERISA, ensuring required notices are distributed to participants.
  • Develop and provide training or informational presentations to managers and employees covering various topics related to human resources and employee benefits.
  • Assist with preparation of annual HR projects to include Open Enrollment and performance evaluations.
  • Maintain employee personnel files.
  • Complete employment verifications.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.
  • Participate in periodic audits of various payroll, benefits, and other HR programs. Present data on fiscal implications.
    Job Requirements
    Qualifications as the Human Resources Generalist
  • Bachelor’s degree in human resources or other business related discipline.
  • PHR preferred.
  • Experience working in an entrepreneurial environment.
  • Prior experience supporting employee benefit programs.
  • Experience with HRIS.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office products.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
