The director of reporting will be responsible for creating and maintaining reporting analytics. This role will define reporting and analytical needs of the business and client groups and is accountable for leading, managing and developing initiatives that focus on internal and external reporting and analysis.

Responsibilities:
  • Create, maintain, and distribute a set of daily, monthly, quarterly, and annual reports and forecasts of operational statistics and metrics that support leadership to make informed fact-based decisions
  • Establish and maintain strategic reporting metrics, dashboards, and custom reports for clients and customers
  • Create presentations utilizing analytical information demonstrating value and actionable insight
  • Design customer-specific service offerings and approaches through collaboration and data analysis that will demonstrate value through development and implementation  
  • Develop and maintain customer reports, compliance and exception reports, to enable the organization to monitor business processes
  • Collaborates with various internal and external sources to gather operational data needed for reports and analysis to deliver accurate and timely results
  • Advise business groups by providing technical and strategic reports that identify and address business issues and opportunities
  • Examines trends in existing data to uncover opportunities for improvement and efficacy in the business
  • Exhibits a business acumen that can break down business processes effectively to understand improvement and compliance opportunities
  • Manage one or more report analysts; set team direction, resolve problems and provide guidance to team members
  • Works cross-functionally on an ad-hoc basis to provide additional intelligence
 
Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree required; major or significant coursework in at least one of the following strongly preferred: mathematics, business, analytical marketing, information systems, programming/databases, statistics/statistical modeling, finance, or economics
  • 8-10 years of experience in health care or IT business analytics, financial reporting/analysis
  • Health care experience with data platform and analytics products (SQL a plus)
  • Expert level of proficiency of Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, data extracts, etc.)
  • Strong demonstrated ability to lead major initiatives to a successful result
  • Demonstrated leadership ability with cross-functional teams
  • Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills
  • Effective formal presentation skills in a variety of settings
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment in a positive and supportive manner
  • Strong outcome-oriented analytical abilities, organization and process management skills
  • Strong problem solving, planning and decision making skills, measures performance against goals, and evaluates results
  • Strong initiative and self-motivation
  • Strong interpersonal skills; ability to work collaboratively with a wide range of individuals at all levels of the organization
  •  SQL preferred, not required
