  Responsibilities:

• Manage and supervise a department of over ten employees (Contracting Coordinators) that expedite all licensure and carrier appointments for the Medicare and IFP/U65 agents.
• Establish checks and balance system to ensure that the License/Appointment Management System is updated and quality assured regularly.
• Research new opportunities, including companies, for one source online carrier contracting.
• Create database to house key contacts at DOI level, including individual DOI intricacies and requirements.
• Maintain relationships with key licensing and appointment personnel at the carrier level to facilitate communication regarding appointment requirements, product lines associated, processing timeframes, etc.
• Continually analyze and offer suggestions for improvements within the QuickBase License and Appointment Management System.
• Establish certification and appointment status reporting out of QuickBase and communicate results to applicable parties regularly.

Required Skills:

• Over three years of proven experience in a managerial position
• Over three years of experience in insurance carrier licensing and appointment (agent contracting) arena
• Knowledge of Medicare and U65 Health Insurance industry, products, compliance and operations is a plus
• Very strong interpersonal/verbal and written communication skills and a strong attention to detail
• Must be proactive, exercise good, sound judgment at all times
• Must be able to handle confidential information with discretion
• Strong organizational and time management skills required
